Jaiprakash Associates slips from day's high, ends flat

The stock could not hold on to its gains and slipped 6% from its high to touch the day's low of Rs 239. It finally ended flat at Rs 240 with over 7.72 million shares traded on the BSE.

Jaiprakash Assocites has rallied 3% after the company reported a four-fold jump in net-profit.

The stock today opened at Rs 244, touched a low of Rs 243 and a high of Rs 254. The scrip is now trading at Rs 248, up 3% from the previous year. Around 2.80 million shares have been traded on the counter at the BSE.

The company reported a net-profit of 491.18 crore in the June quarter as compared to Rs 125.21 crore in the previous quarter, a year ago.

The total income also saw a leap of 77% to Rs 2,117 crore  from Rs 1,194 crore last year.
