The markets have been virtually unchanged in the past one hour. The Sensex is down 21 points at 17,619 and the Nifty is lower by five points at 5269.
Sterlite is the top gainer on the Sensex, strengthening by 1.6% at Rs 881. Reliance Infra has gained 0.8% to Rs 1137 and Tata Motors has added 0.7% at Rs 814. Tata Steel and SBI are the other notable gainers.
ACC is the top loser on the BSE, weakening by 2.3% at Rs 960. HDFC has shed 1.4% at Rs 2522 and ONGC has lost 1.2% at Rs 1196.
Tata Power is trading marginally higher at Rs 1445, while Wipro is weak by 1% at Rs 739 ahead of their Q3 results.
The market breadth is strong. Out of 2409 stocks traded on the BSE, there are 1543 advancing stocks as against 803 declines.
