Menthol prices fell further by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today in view of poor offtake by consuming units amid adequate stocks.

Weakening trend in futures market and increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also weighed on the menthol prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 5 each to Rs 895, Rs 865 and Rs 795 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units and weak trend at futures market also put slight pressure on menthol prices.
