Pre-Markets: Markets likely to open higher as Ukraine tension eases

Nifty likley to reclaim 6300 levels in today's trades

Markets are likely to see a positive opening on account of positive global trends. The Nifty may once again try to reclaim 6300 levels in today's trades.
 
At 0840 hrs, the SGX Nifty was up 36 points at 6,365.
 
In Asia, stocks jumped and the safe-haven yen licked its wounds after a sharp tumble on Wednesday, following remarks from Russian President Vladimir Putin that allayed fears of an imminent military conflict in Ukraine, and revived investor risk appetite.

Putin said Russia reserved the right to use all options to protect compatriots who were living in "terror" in Ukraine, but that force was not needed for now.
 
MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 0.6%. Tokyo's Nikkei jumped 1.5%.
 
Overnight, US stocks rallied, with the S&P 500 closing at a record as concerns about a confrontation between Russia and Ukraine eased, and the market recovered more than all of the previous session's hefty losses.
 
The day's gains followed Wall Street's worst day in a month, when investors sold stocks and other risky assets as tensions escalated between Ukraine and Russia.
 
The Dow Jones industrial average jumped 1.41%, to end at 16,396. The S&P 500 gained 1.53%, to finish at 1,874. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.75%, to close at 4,352.

Bharti Infratel will be in spotlight as Reliance Jio Infocomm on Tuesday signed a pact to share towers with telecom Infrastructure Company, to launch its services across the country.
 
DLF is likely to see a green tick after the CBI has not found any criminality in the permission given to the country's largest real estate company, to construct a high-rise luxury apartment complex in the vicinity of Rashtrapati Bhavan which had led to security concerns.
 
Bharti Airtel may see some action after the company announced that Airtel Networks Kenya Limited has sought an approval from the Communications Authority of Kenya to acquire the telecommunications licenses and subscribers of Essar Telecom Kenya Limited. Essar Telecom Kenya operates under the brand name yuMobile.
