Sebi invites public comments on insider trading rules
The insider trading committee plans to have its second meeting in June
Samie Modak Mumbai Capital market regulator Sebi today invited inputs and suggestions from the public on the Sebi (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations.
The regulator has formed a high level committee to review the country's two-decade old insider trading regulations.
The committee met for the first time in Mumbai last week.
Sebi has prescribed a format―comprising of issue, suggestion and rationale―for the feedback.
The regulator will accept public comments till May 16, 2013. The insider trading committee plans to have its second meeting in June.
