Select copra spurts on heavy demand, tight supply

Copra Alapuzha and copra kozhikode prices rallied at the spices market here today owing to strong demand from retailers and bulk traders amidst limited arrivals from producing regions.
Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode both rose by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 5,300 and Rs 5,200 from overnight closing level of Rs 5,200 and Rs 5,100, respectively.
Meanwhile, other spices maintained a steady trend in the absence of necessary buying support.

Black pepper (per kilo) 201/221 (201/221), ginger bleached (per kilo) 230 (230), ginger unbleached (per kilo) 245 (245), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 5,300 (5,200)
copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 5,200 (5,100), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,800 (6,800) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 6,000 (6,000)
