The Sensex is now down 248 points at 9,159.
Wipro has slumped 8.7% to Rs 229. Reliance Infrastructure has tumbled over 7% to Rs 480.
DLF has plunged 6% to Rs 205. Reliance Communications has shed 5.5% to Rs 177.
Tata Steel and Sterlite have dropped 5% each to Rs 204 and Rs 260, respectively.
BHEL and TCS have slipped 4.7% each to Rs 1,349 and Rs 511, respectively.
Reliance has declined 4.3% to Rs 1,102. Hindalco and Ranbaxy are down 4% each at Rs 50 and Rs 210, respectively.
