Sensex firm; Rel Infra, JP Asso lead

The NSE Nifty is up 128 points at 4,116.

Reliance Infrastructure has zoomed 7.5% to Rs 811, and Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has soared 6.5% to Rs 168.

BHEL and ICICI Bank have surged around 5% each to Rs 1,572 and Rs 625, respectively.

Tata Motors and DLF have rallied 4.7% each to Rs 394 and Rs 450, respectively.

Maruti, Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank have advanced over 4.5% each to Rs 595, Rs 434 and Rs 1,047, respectively.

TCS and ITC have gained 4.3% each at Rs 863 and Rs 179, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has moved up over 4% to Rs 741. HDFC and Grasim are up 3.5% each at Rs 2,081 and Rs 1,727, respectively.

Out of 2,424 stocks traded, 1,896 have advanced, 477 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
