Sensex in red again; NTPC sheds 3%

The Sensex has slipped back into the negative zone, and is down 11 points at 11,012.

Earlier in the day the index opened 42 points higher at 11,065. Thereafter, the Sensex slumped into red and touched a low of 11,009. The index rebounded and touched the day's high of 11,210.

Reliance Infrastructure and Jaiprakash Associates have rallied 6% each to Rs 700 and Rs 118, respectively. Tata Motors has gained 3% at Rs 243.

Reliance Communications, Larsen & Toubro, DLF, Tata Steel, Sterlite, Bharti Airtel, ACC and Maruti Suzuki have moved up 1-2% each.

On the other hand, NTPC has shed 3% to Rs 187. ITC has dropped 2.5% to Rs 184.

Sun Pharma, TCS, Tata Power, ICICI Bank and Wipro have slipped 1-2% each.
