Sensex pares gains; ITC, TCS drop 3%

The NSE Nifty is up three points at 4,269.

Reliance has gained 2.6% at Rs 2,075, and Jaiprakash Associates has moved up 2.3% to Rs 157.

Ranbaxy, SBI and HDFC have advanced over 2% each to Rs 525, Rs 1,231 and Rs 2,262, respectively.

BHEL have added 1.7% to Rs 1,384, and NTPC has moved up 1.4% to Rs 164.

Mahindra & Mahindra and DLF are up over 1% each at Rs 555 and Rs 451, respectively.

ITC and TCS have plunged 3.3% each to Rs 189 and Rs 830, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has shed 2% at Rs 222. Maruti has slipped 1.7% to Rs 677, and Grasim has declined 1.3% to Rs 2,120.

Hindalco and Tata Steel are down 1% each at Rs 147 and Rs 738, respectively.
