Sensex up 175pts; Bharti Airtel advances 3%

The Sensex is now up 175 points at 14,719.

Reliance Communications has soared over 4% to Rs 417. BHEL has surged over 3.5% to Rs 1,738.

Graism and Bharti Airtel have rallied over 3% each to Rs 2,019 and Rs 817, respectively.

Ranbaxy and HDFC Bank have moved up nearly 3% each to Rs 506 and Rs 1,243, respectively.

DLF and Reliance Infrastructure have gained 2.5% each at Rs 513 and Rs 1,019, respectively.

ONGC has shed 2.4% at Rs 1,037, and Mahindra & Mahindra has slipped 1.8% to Rs 551.

Out of 2,677 stocks traded so far, 1,727 have advanced, 868 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
