Sensex up 308pts; ICICI Bank surges 7.2%

The Sensex is now up 308 points at 12,904. The NSE Nifty is up 89 points at 3,938.
ICICI Bank has zoomed 7.2% to Rs 529. TCS has gained 6.9% to Rs 662. HDFC is up over 6% at Rs 2,155.
Bharti Airtel and BHEL have surged 5.6% each to Rs 787 and Rs 1,594, respectively.
SBI is up 4.7% at Rs 1,472. Maruti, Satyam and Jaiprakash Associates have moved up 4.3% each to Rs 691, Rs 305 and Rs 111, respectively.
Reliance Communications and DLF have advaced 3.4% each at Rs 337 and Rs 362, respectively.
NTPC and Larsen & Toubro have gained 3.3% each to Rs 172 and Rs 2,422, respectively.
Tata Motors has tumbled 3.4% to Rs 344, while Tata Steel has declined 3.2% to Rs 431.
Grasim is down 2.7% to Rs 1,685. Hindustan Unilever has lost 1.8% to Rs 250.
ITC has dropped 1.6% to Rs 187. Sterlite and Tata Power have slipped 1.4% each at Rs 426 and Rs 905, respectively.
The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,598 stocks traded so far, 1,354 have declined, 1,175 have advanced and 69 are unchanged.
