Sensex up 33 points

The BSE Sensex edged higher on Monday, marginally recovering after hitting its 2013 lows in the previous session, as recent nderperformers, such as Larsen & Toubro rose, while DLF gained after an executive told analysts earnings would improve. Sensex rose 0.17 per cent, or 32.93 points, to end at 19,501.08, recovering from its lowest close since December 31, 2012, hit on Friday. The broader NSE Nifty rose 0.18 per cent, or 10.80 points, to end at 5,898.20. Shares in DLF rose five per cent, after vice-chairman Rajiv Singh indicated earnings would improve and said net debt would fall, according to analysts who attended the companys post-results analyst meeting on Friday.
