Reliance Infrastructure and Tata Motors have zoomed 12.5% each to Rs 515 and Rs 193, respectively.
DLF, SBI, HDFC and ICICI Bank have soared over 9% each to Rs 241, Rs 1,213, Rs 1,926 and Rs 436, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro has surged over 8% to Rs 872. Maruti and Hindalco have gained 8% each at Rs 605 and Rs 64, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates and Tata Steel have moved up 6.7% each to Rs 77 and Rs 224, respectively.
Satyam has shed 2.5% at Rs 297, and Wipro has slipped 1.5% to Rs 268.
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,558 stocks traded, 1,875 have advanced, 624 have declined and 59 are unchanged.
