Sentiment improves for ICICI Securities
Investor sentiment towards ICICI Securities is seeing a gradual improvement. Market players are attributing two reasons — end of share sale overhang and recent investor presentation made by the company. Group company ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund recently completed ~2.4-billion worth of share sale in ICICI Securities, following a diktat by the Securities and Exchange Board of India. Also, at a recent investor conference, the company highlighted its strategy to strengthen leadership position and financials. ICICI Securities' share prices have rebounded 15 per cent from their record lows but are still down 36 per cent over the IPO price. - Pavan BurugulaOne subscription. Two world-class reads.
