Tata Steel has gained owing to a 38% leap in sales.
The stock has opened at Rs 505 and then touched a high of Rs 510, up over 2% from the previous close.
The scrip has now pared some of its gains and is now trading at Rs 504, up 1%
The company's sales at its Indian operations jumped 38% in October to 462,000 tonnes on the back of robust demand from the construction sector.
In the previous year the sales figure stood at 335,000 tonnes.
