US markets slip as worries resurface

US markets slipped a day after the highest rally in three months. Financial dragged the most as recovery worries surfaced once again.

The Dow Jones dropped 250 points (2.5%) to 9,713. The Nasdaq slipped 52 points (2.5%) to 2,045. The S&P 500 shed 30 points (2.8%) at 1,036.

Tata Communications crashed 12% to $15.23. Wipro slumped 8% to $17.15.

ICICI Bank and Tata Motors plunged 6.5% each to $31.45 and $11.38, respectively.

MTNL and HDFC Bank tumbled 5.6% each to $2.91 and $110.61.

Sterlite, Infosys and Patni Computers shed 1-3% each.

However, Mahindra Satyam gained 3% at $5.29.
