Weakness continues; Rel Communications slips 4%

The NSE Nifty is down 63 points at 4,204.

Reliance Communications has tumbled over 4% to Rs 468.

ITC has shed 3.5% at Rs 189. Ambuja Cememts has plunged over 3% to Rs 81.

Hindalco and Hindustan Unilever have dropped 2.7% each to Rs 144 and Rs 221, respectively.

Maruti, Grasim and Bharti Airtel are down 2% each at Rs 674, Rs 2,100 and Rs 744, respectively.

BHEL and Reliance have gained 2.3% each at Rs 1,394 and Rs 2,069, respectively.

Ranbaxy has advanced 1.3% to Rs 520, and HDFC is up over 1% at Rs 2,237.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,643 stocks traded so far, 1,944 have declined, 633 have advanced and 66 are unchanged.
