Hero had showcased its Dash scooter at the 2014 Auto Expo and it will be launching this new scooter sometime in the coming three months. Hero has loaded up the Dash with several new features like USB charger, LED tail lamp, side stand indicator and service due indicator as well. Hero might have been the only player if it would have introduced these features on its 110cc bike, but now it seems Honda is also gearing up for a scooter with similar or maybe more features. This is Hero's first scooter with all new engine developed without Honda's inputs.
The new bike from Honda will be more expensive than the Activa and will be targeting the youth. We couldn't get in touch with any of the Honda representatives for an official statement. Honda should get this scooter by the end of this year or post the 2016 Auto Expo. This scooter will be a lot more expensive, and should be priced at INR 60,000 (on-road), about INR 6000 more than the Activa 3G. This new scooter will also get Honda's Combi Brake. Honda will want to continue its dominance in the scooter industry as Activa is already the leading selling scooter and at the moment it is being sold in three avatars, Activa 3G, Activa 125 and Activa i.
