Cash worth of 11 lakh 90 thousand rupees have been recovered from Vyapam office in the state capital on Monday afternoon.
A carpenter found cash and some documents inside a drawer while carrying out renovation work in the Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (Vyapam) office in the city.
"Cash worth 11 lakh 90 thousand, a check and some documents were found inside the drawer that was found by the carpenter while some renovation work inside the Vyapam Office. The documents have been seized under section 102 of CRPC," Superintendent of Police (SP) Anshuman Singh told ANI.
The workers of the Youth Congress protested outside Vyapam office after the incident.
