One Direction are set to star in full-length animated films, it has been revealed.
Animal Logic Entertainment's boss Zareh Nalbandian said that this was a perfect fit of complementary talents, the Daily Star reported.
Simon Cowell said that the music had to be current.
A senior studio source said that Cowell wanted to see almost a reinvention of the whole genre, with storylines woven around the boys' songs and, eventually, songs written to specific storylines with spin-off albums.
