Additional Solicitor General L Nageshwar Rao resigned from his post on Monday citing some personal reasons.
However, Rao has been asked to continue as the Additional Solicitor General till further arrangements are made. He will, therefore, continue to retain his post till December 18.
Rao has sent his resignation to Union Law minister D V Sadananda Gowda.
