After Hrithik Roshan was roped in as the leading actor for 'Aashiqui 3,' speculations about who would play his love interest have constantly been doing rounds.
'Neerja' star Sonam Kapoor's name came up for the part after she did a music video 'Dheere Dheere' opposite Hrithik but the actress later confirmed that she wasn't going to be a part of the project.
The news of T-series wanting Kangana as the leading actress for the film caused a controversy in B-town, where it was said that Hrithik was not comfortable shooting with Kangana due to rumors of their alleged 'secret' love affair thus she was not made a part of the film.
After much controversy and speculations, it is being reported that the 22-year-old Alia Bhatt has been roped-in for 'Aashiqui 3.'
Alia and Hrithik would make a fresh pair which would be interesting for the audience to watch on the silver screen.
The 'Highway' star is currently promoting her upcoming flick 'Kapoor and sons' and will star shooting the second schedule of Gauri Shinde's untitled film opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
Hrithik Roshan is currently filming Ashutosh Gowariker's 'Mohenjo Daro' and will also start Sanjay Gupta's 'Kaabil' opposite Yami Gautam by March end.
