Ahead of the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections, cabinet minister Anil Sharma is set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
An official announcement of the same is likely to made later today.
Sharma, a minister in the Virbhadra Singh government, was also spotted sporting a BJP-branded saffron scarf and flashing a victory sign.
The news emerged days after the Election Commission (EC) announced dates for polling in Himachal Pradesh.
The state will go to the polls in a single-phase on November 9 and counting will take place on December 18.
