AIADMK cadre files petition in Chennai HC seeking investigation into Jayalalithaa's death

A petition has been filed in the Chennai High Court by the AIADMK cadre seeking three-member bench to investigate party supremo J. Jayalalithaa's death. The court will the hear the plea tomorrow.

Earlier, a lady claiming to be the friend of late Tamil Nadu chief minister had filed a petition before the Metropolitan Magistrate Court seeking clarity over her death.

The petition will be heard on January 11 next year.

Jayalalithaa passed away on December 5 after suffering a cardiac arrest and was buried with full state honours near the MGR Memorial in Chennai on December 6.
