Airports Authority of India conducts preventive vigilance workshop

A Workshop was organised by the corporate vigilance department of the Airports Authority of India in Ahmedabad recently.

The topic of the workshop was "Preventive Vigilance as a tool of Good Governance".

Yatendra Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the AAI, addressed the gathering on the objectives of workshop.

Among the eminent speakers present were M.P.Juneja, Independent External Monitor (IEM), AAI, who delivered a lecture on "Common Irregularities in public procurement process.

The exercises during the workshop included a demonstration by the AAI's information technology department and a case study by the corporate vigilance department.

Besides, various issues related to the Right to Information Act, transparency, dealing with projects and related preventive aspects were intensely discussed and deliberated upon.

Such workshops are organised as a part of preventive vigilance at regular intervals.
