Ace Indian shuttler Ajay Jayaram produced a resilient performance as he swept aside Brazil's Ygor Coelho De Oliveira in straight games to storm into the semifinals of the USD 55,000 Dutch Open Grand Prix tournament last evening here.
The defending champion, who clinched the title thrice in his career, registered a 21-15, 21-18 win over eighth-seeded De Oliveira in the third-round contest that lasted 32 minutes at the Topsportcentrum Almere.
Top-seeded Jayaram will next lock horns with fifth-seeded Anders Antonsen of Denmark for a place in the summit showdown.
In the men's doubles event, the Indian pair of Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Reddy N. Sikki also booked their place in the last four of the tournament.
Pranaav and Reddy fought back from their second game defeat to register a 21-10, 10-21, 21-17 win over the French duo of Ronan Labar and Audrey Fontaine.
