England captain Alastair Cook who has been taking time to assess the strategies before the upcoming India series, has been spurred on by Alec Stewart to prove it to the world.

Cook is skeptical of his strategies as he failed against Sri Lanka in a Test series on English soil.

To overcome this Stewart has advised Cook to take an old fashioned approach on this to ignore the bystanders and let his bat do the talking, The Mirror reported.

The former caption further advised him to ignore all the reports which reduce his morale and show them how good he is.
