AlternaCare, a seamless telemedicine platform where anyone can connect for medical consultation has announced its team up with Uber to provide 24X7 health care services to their drivers.

To initiate the tie up AlternaCare organized the Uber Health Camp for Uber drivers on 23rd October 2016. Services such as BP, height, weight and sugar testing were offered to the drivers.

General Physicians, Ayurveda doctors and Homeopaths were present for the check-ups and consult the drivers around various ailments such as migraines due to high beams falling into eyes at night, diabetes due to eating outside food, lungs problems due to smoking habits, gastro issues due to water, back pain issues generated due to long hours of sitting while driving.

"We solve this problem in the most efficient manner where anyone even without the internet can consult the most relevant doctors within two minutes. Hence, this makes perfect sense to an Uber driver who can't afford to lose so much time while on duty. In this health camp, a lot of drivers also asked us to deliver the medicines prescribed by our doctors, which is very a positive sign for our acceptance and growth," said Co-founder and CEO AlternaCare, Abhishek Dwivedi.

The representative from Uber said that the health camp by AlternaCare was very well conducted and our driver partners in Gurgaon really appreciated it. We would love to have another camp similar to this one in the coming future.

Uber drivers have long and hectic working hours and therefore with this tie-up, they can easily get in touch with doctors if required 24*7.

Drivers can access consultation services through a number of mediums including voice calls (no internet required), mobile and desktop web (video), SMS and even through various chat platforms including Whatsapp. Within a time span of two minutes they will be connected to a doctor.

With this initiative, Alternacare is helping the drivers to incorporate a healthy lifestyle and it hopes to continue doing the same by conducting more such health camps in the near future.
