Amanda Bynes has claimed that her very public outrageous behaviour has all been an act to help her prepare for a film.

The American star, who has made a string of headlines over the last few months, has now opened up about her supposed meltdown to her friend Jonathan Jaxson, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Jaxson has revealed on Twitter that Bynes has told him that she has been "acting" this entire time on the social networking site to get attention as she prepares for next movie.
