The movie directed by Clint Eastwood was distributed in 3500 screens the day after scoring six Oscar nominations, News 24.com reported.
R-rated comedy 'The Wedding Ringer' grabbed the second spot with 21m dollars for three days during the US Martin Luther King Day holiday weekend.
'Paddington' based on the series of classic children's books about a loveable bear, came in third with 19.3 million dollars at the weekend box office.
