'The Hunger Games' duo, director Francis Lawrence and lead star Jennifer Lawrence are in talks to team up again for the upcoming romantic drama 'The Dive.'
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 20th Century Fox project is being produced by James Cameron, who had been working on it since 2002 with his Lightstorm Entertainment partners Jon Landau and Rae Sanchini as well as Barry Josephson. Both Cameron and Martin Campbell had been attached to it over the years.
The film is based on the true love story of Cuban diver Francisco 'Pipin' Ferreras and the French-born diver Audrey Mestre. Mestre had became a freediver under Ferreras' guidance and training, and had broken several world records, but she at the age of 28 while attempting a breath-hold dive over 500 feet.
It is known that Lawrence, 24, has been offered a role, but it is unclear if the deal is sealed.
