British two-time world champion boxer Amir Khan is eyeing a blockbuster bout with Filipino politician and boxer Manny Pacquiao and has insisted that he would 'love to box' him, with the fight likely to be held in the Middle East.

Khan is set to swap punches with Chris Algieri in New York on May 29, just weeks after Pacquiao goes head to head with unbeaten US boxing champion Floyd Mayweather in what is being dubbed as the fight of the century.

Following the conclusion of those two bouts arranging a fight with the Filipino should be a mere formality providing Khan deals with Algieri next month.

Khan said that he wants this fight, adding that he would love to box Pacquiao. He insisted that they have been looking at an event in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is only a short drive away, The Mirror reported.

The Pakistani-decent British boxer said that it's a dream of his to fight in that part of the world, adding that late November or December is perfect for him.

The two men are hugely popular in the Middle East which would greatly enhance the appeal of the fight. Moreover, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum reckons that Khan's speed would cause his fighter a lot of problems.

Arum said that Khan has great speed, adding that he might be the only guy as fast as Pacquiao, insisting that the Briton's recent performances have been impressive and that it would be an outstanding fight.
