American singer Anastacia has revealed that she is currently recovering from a double mastectomy surgery she had undergone after she was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in 2013.
The 45-year-old musician, who was first diagnosed with the debilitating disease in 2003, was also forced to cancel her European tour in February owing to the second diagnosis, the Mirror reported.
For the Breast Cancer Awareness month, the 'Left Outside Alone' hit maker released a statement, describing her struggle with her cancer diagnosis.
Anastacia revealed that her double mastectomy has been an intense journey, but she is feeling great now and all set to start the next chapter in her life.
Anastacia added that early detection has saved her life twice, and she will continue to battle and lend her voice against the disease in anyway she can.
