Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday flagged off the first batch of farmers' group to Singapore to study a developmental programme.
The trip has been organized by the state Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) for farmers who parted with their land for the construction of Capital city Amaravati.
As many as 123 farmers had applied for the tour. They will be taken to Singapore in batches of three.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said he was committed to fulfilling all promises made to the farmers.
"I will fulfill all my promises to the farmers who gave away their lands for constructing people's capital."
He also expressed confidence that the tour will encourage the farmers to become successful entrepreneurs.
