Andhra Pradesh: Lorry carrying LPG cylinders catches fire

A lorry carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders caught fire on the National Highway No.44 in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.
According to reports, the truck, which was plying from Vadiampet in the Anantapur district to Nandikotkur, was carrying 400 cylinders. Due to the fire, traffic was stranded for several kilometres, with fire tenders unable to come close to the truck due to the flames and exploding cylinders.
The truck driver and helper noticed the fire and jumped to safety. No casualties were reported.
