Bollywood actor-producer Anil Kapoor unveiled the first look of his new suspense drama television series, 24, based on the American series of the same name, in showbiz capital Mumbai.
The 56-year old actor, who plays ATU Chief Jai Singh Rathod, revealed that while shooting in the US he came across this series, which he felt, was more relevant in Indian context and envisioned himself in the lead.
He added that though he didn't have a huge infrastructure to back him, he started negotiating with 20th Century Fox, and thanked everyone who helped him make this dream come true.
The promo features actors such as Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, Anil Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, Rahul Khanna and Mandira Bedi.
The series starting from October, narrates 24 hours of his life in real time over 24 episodes.
