A 36-year-old woman died of suspected dengue on Sunday evening, taking the toll from the disease in the national capital to over 20.
According to the family members of the deceased Anita, she was admitted to Max hospital in Saket after moving from one hospital to another.
"The Max hospital asked us to pay more than Rs 5 lakhs to claim the body. We had already paid one lakh fifty thousand when she was admitted to the ICU(Intensive Care Unit) on September 16. Her husband is the only breadwinner in the family, so we all helped him accumulate money for her treatment," said a family member.
Meanwhile, the Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on Sunday said that there could be more cases of dengue with fresh spell of rain and asked the people not to cause panic on the viral disease.
