Expressing serious concern over infiltration attempts along the Line of Control (LoC), Defence Minister A.K. Antony on Wednesday said nothing has happened without the knowledge and tacit support of the Pakistan Army.

"We are watching all these new developments. So, instead of preventing the infiltrators or instead of trying to minimize the infiltration attempts still these attempts are going on increasing that means these are going on with the support of elements across the border," Antony told media here.

"But I am sure nothing has happened without the knowledge and tacit support of the Pakistan army. It's a matter of concern to us," he added.

Antony said it is impossible for terrorists to infiltrate without the Pakistani Army's support.

"If both sides are guarded by armed forces, how can terrorists infiltrate from Pakistan border side," asked Antony.

He said that if Pakistan is sincere in improving relations with India, what is the reason behind increasing number of infiltration attempts?

Antony assured the nation that the army is fully prepared and can meet any challenges related to the security of the country's borders.

"We all must stand together with our armed forces," he said.
