Australian spin legend Shane Warne was reportedly given the shock of his life when a British e-gaming operator, with whom he has signed up as an ambassador, welcomed him with a giant, live tarantula on a plate.
The leg spin legend made the mistake of telling people at Sportingbet that he is an arachnophobe, following which the company decided to play a trick on him.
According to News.com.au, Warne went running back to where he came from, in a similar way to what the batsmen used to do when they faced him in matches while he was playing.
The stunt capped a roller coaster few days for Warne in which he has been hit by paint gun bullets, confirmed he is 100 per cent single and denied reports linking him to a Scottish lingerie tycoon, the report added.
