'Awed' Watson hails Steyn as world's best fast bowler

Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has hailed South Africa's Dale Steyn as the best fast bowler in the world.

Watson watched with a sense of foreboding and awe from the sidelines as Steyn started a fiery spell consisting of reverse swing that ripped through Australia's middle order in the second Test.

According to News.com.au, Watson said that in every series he had played against Steyn, he has seen how the quick fires up and gets to a spell that changes the game, adding that Steyn is the best pace bowler in the world as he can bowl with a brand new ball and also impress with an old reversing ball.

Stating that Australian batsmen had found it difficult to hold their own against a fast reversing ball in the second Test, Watson also said that it is the ultimate challenge to face Steyn as he is good as any other bowler that had ever played in the past, adding that he expects an even more improved showing from Steyn in the three-Test series decider.
