Army Chief Bipin Rawat visits Badrinath Temple

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat accompanied by his wife Madhulika Rawat on Thursday visited the Badrinath Temple to offer prayers.

The chief performed the Vedic rituals which lasted for 15 minutes during his visit to the holy shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

While speaking to ANI, priest Bhuvan Chand Uniyal said, "The chief prayed for the well being of the world and country's national security. I am very delighted with his gesture. The world shall see India achieve great heights in the future."

"He also offered libations of water to the gods at the temple as this shrine is famous for the same. The chief was very happy with the whole ritual he performed here. He also prayed for the wellness of the region's river flow so that the region does not get affected by the floods anymore", the priest added further. added the priest.

After paying obeisance to Lord Badri Vishal, the head priest presented the holy offerings to the chief where he performed the Vedic ritual at the shrine.

The army and police administration received the chief on his arrival where he was welcomed by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Chief Executive, BD Singh.
