Army Chief reviews security in Kashmir Valley

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Bipin Rawat on Wednesday reviewed security situation in the Kashmir Valley.

Chinar Corps Commander Lieutenant General J. S. Sandhu briefed the Army Chief on the latest operations and updated him on the overall security scenario along the Line of Control (LoC) as well as in the hinterland.

Chief Rawat addressed all officers in Badami Bagh Cantonment and complimented them for providing excellent military leadership in the most challenging circumstances.

He also commended all ranks for their relentless pursuit towards achieving the objective of bringing in peace and normalcy to the Valley.

The Army Chief was received by Lieutenant General Devraj Anbu, Northern Army Commander and Lieutenant General J. S. Sandhu, Chinar Corps Commander on his arrival in Srinagar today.
