Ashley Greene to star with Pierce Brosnan in 'Urge'

Ashley Greene is set to star opposite Pierce Brosnan in the upcoming thriller 'Urge.'

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the project, which is being independently financed and would be managed by IM Global for international sales, would see film producer Aaron Kaufman make his directorial debut.

The film's story would center on Theresa, played by Greene, and her group of friends who escape on an island destination weekend and find themselves unable to resist trying a new designer drug. However, the drug makes them lose the ability to control their urges. Brosnan would play the maker and gatekeeper of the drug.

Kaufman said that the 'Twilight' star, 27, would bring the "gravitas and intensity" that the character required and they were really excited to have her on board.

The film, which would be financed by Bridgeworks Media Capital, TCI and Tresoro Ventures and produced by Skip Williamson and Mark Neveldine under their Blackmrkt Incorporated banner, would begin filming in New York later in October.
