Atletico de Kolkata continued their scintillating performance as they secured their second win of the Indian Super League (ISL) campaign by sweeping aside FC Goa 1-0 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Wednesday.
Midfielder Arata Izumi scored the lone goal for Kolkata in the 13th minute which eventually was sufficient to beat the opponents.
FC Goa, who kicked of their ISL with a 2-0 win over Delhi Dynamos FC, made several efforts to score, but could not succeed in doing so.
With the win, Kolkata are now first in the league standings and will next face Kerala Blasters FC in another home match on October 7.
