Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis continued their sublime form as they progressed through to the China Open quarterfinals in the doubles event on Wednesday.
The top seeded Indo-Swiss pair returned brilliantly after their first set defeat to claim a 1-6, 6-4, 10-6 win over Sara Errani and Flavia Pennetta in a thrilling second round contest that lasted an hour and 16 minutes.
Mirza and Hingis, who had recently lifted the women's doubles title at Wuhan Open, will next face Julia Goerges and Karolina Pliskova.
