Australian batsman George Bailey has said that he has got plans on how to face England bowlers in the Ashes and that facing Ryan Harris recently has only helped his cause of trying to force his way into red-ball cricket.
According to News.com.au, in his first red-ball hit-out last week at Allan Border Field Bailey compiled 34 and 41, but it was his handling of a fired-up Harris late on day one which speaks more than his final scores.
It gave him the perfect preparation for the time when English quicks James Anderson, Stuart Broad and one of either Steve Finn or Chris Tremlett in Brisbane, would greet him, the report said.
Bailey said that it was a pretty challenging spell from Ryan Harris and that was a great welcome back to Shield cricket.
Having already faced all the touring party's attack in coloured clothing, Bailey has no concerns with what awaits when he dons the famous baggy green, the report added.
He said that he would be going into a game with fairly clear plans against the English bowlers.
