Welsh striker Gareth Bale is refusing to discuss his future with his Tottenham teammates as the club becomes increasingly resigned to sell him.
According to the Mirror, Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas expressed that Bale's mental state is something nobody knows because he did not speak and the only thing they were able to see was the player arriving in and out of the training ground.
Boas had already ruled Bale out of contention for the north Londoners' opening three games of the new season, with Real desperate to pull off a huge deal for the 24-year-old Welsh star, the report said.
Real president Florentino Perez has offered to pay the 80 million pound-plus world-record transfer fee in four instalments, include Portuguese left-back Fabio Coentrao in part-exchange and offer Bale a six-year contract worth 180,000 pounds a week, the report added.
