Premier League Champions Manchester United are convinced they would not let striker Wayne Rooney leave despite his desire to leave Old Trafford to start afresh at Stamford Bridge.
According to the Mirror, Rooney made his first appearance of pre-season last night, playing 67 minutes of England's 3-2 friendly win over Scotland at Wembley.
Despite Rooney's interest in forcing his way out of United before the September 2 transfer deadline, Moyes is clear that the forward will be staying put, the report said.
The manager said that there were no more developments in the club and Rooney is not for sale.
