A Dubai bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane made an emergency landing at the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong, on Sunday, following a reported hijacking attempt.
A 'gunman' reportedly attempted to take the command of the cockpit which led to the emergency landing of the passenger plane, which was on its way to Dubai from Dhaka via Chittagong, the Dhaka Tribune reported citing unconfirmed reports.
Meanwhile, according to media reports all passengers got off the plane as soon as it landed but the alleged gunman and two crew members were still on the plane.
Police and Rapid Action Battalion have sealed off the area on the runway.
More details are awaited.
